W. KIRK BOND, DDS, FAGD, FICOI, FICD
After completing his undergraduate studies at Austin College, Dr. Bond earned his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Bond moved to Temple to do advanced training at the Olin E. Teague Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, and he helped form the Cox/Bond Dental Group in 1999. Dr. Bond has extensive training in esthetic, implant, and full-mouth reconstructive dentistry. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Central Texas Dental Society, Christian Medical and Dental Association, International College of Dentists and the Spear Study Club. Dr. Bond serves as Visiting Faculty at Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. Additionally, Dr. Bond earned his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2004, his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) in 2013 and Fellowship with the International College of Dentists in 2017.
Dr. Bond and his wife Leanna have two daughters, Annalise and Sarah Kate. Their family worships and serves at Temple Bible Church. Dr. Bond has served in Rotary International since 1996 and participates in the Temple South Club. In his free time, Dr. Bond enjoys computers, photography, reading and sailing.
Paul Cox, DDS
Originally from Temple, Texas, Dr. Cox attended University of Mary Hardin - Baylor and earned his DDS from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Cox joined the practice in 2001 with the goal of providing high quality general, cosmetic, and restorative dental care to Temple and surrounding area patients. Dr. Cox is passionate about dentistry and continues to seek advanced postgraduate education. His recent focus includes esthetic enhancements, Invisalign, dental implant restorations, and sleep apnea. Dr. Cox is a proud member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, Central Texas Dental Society, Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the Spear Faculty Club.
Dr. Cox has three children: Emma, Andrew, and David. Away from the office, Dr. Cox loves to hunt, fish, ski, and attempt to hold his own on the tennis courts with his family.
Laura SHADRICK, Registered Dental Hygienist
Laura was born and raised in Bell County. In 1997, she became a graduate of the Temple College Dental Hygiene Program. Laura has over 20 years experience as a hygienist at Cox Bond Dental. The relationships she has with her patients and coworkers are very valuable. She is dedicated to her patients and continues to educate them on good oral hygiene so they can achieve optimal oral health.
Laura has two daughters and two granddaughters. Laura and her husband, Joe, spend most of their free time with family and friends. Laura enjoys working in the yard and reading.
Carla Anderson, Registered Dental Assistant
With over 20 years in the dental field, Carla Anderson brings skill and knowledge to her roles as a dental assistant. Carla puts her patients first and tries to make sure they have the best possible experience with us.
She is active in the Vista Community Church, and enjoys jewelry making, reading, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and one grandson.
Julie Splittgerber, Registered Dental Hygienist
Julie joined our dental team in 2009 and has more than twenty years experience as a dental hygienist. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and team members and strives to make every patient’s dental experience the best it can be. Julie and her husband, Bill, have three daughters. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, gardening, and reading.
Cherrie Bell, Registered Dental ASSIsTANT
Cherrie was born and raised in Temple, Texas. With 10 years in the dental field, she brings a variety knowledge, warmth and compassion for her patients. She loves to make her patients feel at home, and give them the ultimate quality of care they deserve. Cherrie greatly values her team members, and is proud to be a part of the Cox/Bond Dental family.
She is an active member in her church, Glory and Fire Ministries, and enjoys cooking, singing, reading and spending time with her family.
AMBER JONES, Registered Dental HYGIENIST
As the newest member of our team, Amber brings nearly ten years experience as a dental hygienist to the practice. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Midwestern State University in 2007. Amber prides herself in providing a pleasant experience for her patients, building relationships with them, and helping them maintain a healthy smile.
Amber and her husband, Doug, have two beautiful girls, Emma and Adelyn. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on her favorite sport teams, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Amber Ryan, patient navigator
Amber brought her welcoming smile to the Cox Bond Dental family in July, 2012. Always upbeat, her laughter is often the source of contagious happiness throughout the office. Amber enjoys what she does, is a hard worker, and takes on new responsibilities daily. As a long time patient, she has benefited from a long association with Cox Bond Dental. She is also a registered dental assistant and strives to help her patients feel comfortable.
Amber and her husband Ty enjoys sports, church activities and home projects. They are the proud parents of one son, Tucker. Say “hi” to Amber and she’ll soon have you smiling.
Amy Castillo, Financial/Insurance Coordinator
Amy Castillo has been the financial/insurance coordinator for Cox Bond Dental group for the last fifteen years. With more than twenty years of experience in the dental field, Amy believes in making sure patients understand their options for good, long-term dental health – and its affordability. She provides assistance to anyone wanting a beautiful, healthy smile. Her goal is to provide excellent service to the friends who call Cox Bond their dental home.
Amy and her husband Richard have been happily married for 25 years. They are the proud parents of 16 year-old Alex and 9 year-old David. As active members of St. Mary’s Church, they support the many ministries of their Parrish. Amy truly enjoys spending time with family and friends, crocheting and quilting.
